Edward L. Thomas is the President and Chief Executive officer of Dunton Capital, LLC in Greenwich, Connecticut, a private investment firm dedicated to partnering with privately held businesses by providing financial capital and value enhancing advice. Prior to forming Dunton in 1991, Mr. Thomas was an officer in the loan workout group at Citibank, N.A. in New York where he was responsible for a number of high profile and successful restructurings. His work with workout and bankruptcy stage companies provided him with extensive experience managing deteriorating credits from both lending and operating perspectives.
Mr. Thomas was with Citibank for eight years, four of which were as a corporate loan officer in the bank's Energy Division in Houston, Texas. Before joining Citibank, Mr. Thomas was with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. for seven years, where he worked as a corporate loan officer in the National and International Divisions. In his 35 years in banking and private equity, Mr. Thomas facilitated financings in a variety of industries whose aggregate value exceeded $4.0 billion.
A native of Texas, Mr. Thomas is a graduate of New York University's College of Business and Public Administration.
